CHECKOFF STAY LIFTED

After years of working and waiting, the members of Christmas Tree Promotion Now (CTPN) are pleased to announce that on Monday, April 7, 2014 the Obama administration lifted the nearly 2 ½ year stay that was placed on the Christmas Tree Research and Promotion Order; commonly known as the Christmas tree check-off.

Sen. DeMint Introduces Checkoff Amendment

As reported in last week's Advocacy Alert, the 2012 Farm Bill, known formally as the Agriculture Reform, Food, and Jobs Act (S. 3240), was brought to the Senate floor for discussion. Since its introduction, more than 220 amendments (many having nothing to do with agriculture) have been filed.
